Now we have started to get in to the subjects some more, this week we had to make a report on crisis communication. We where assigned to do a Press Release as if would happened! (se description below regarding the Press Release)

The assignment;

Situation - Case study 1, Crisis Communication

During the flight to the Canary Island, the aircraft of your travel agency Paradise Travel faced as a result of strong turbulence, a highly critical situation. A few passengers (probably not fastened) were injured during the flight. One passenger suffered a concussion, the others mostly bruises. Just before landing there were still serious technical problems. The plain landed in the emergency mode. During the evacuation of passengers from the board several passengers were slightly injured, most of the passengers suffered from the shock. Some of your clients want to go back home immediatly, your aircraft has to undergo a demanding repair, other plain is not available. At the same moment you are  ”bombarded” by the calls of relatives, domestic and foreign journalists, all require immediate and complete information on the situation and its solution.

And how to do this the right way =) … I started to source how other flight companies resolved the situation regarding there Press Releases, found out that non of these airlines I have looked in to, written a piece like i have, I still felt like doing a story or in a article kind of way. I could be wrong in my statement as well, but I wanted to include as much info as possible to get rid of all questions. (Click the image to get a PDF of the Press Release)

So this is so far what i have done! Please comment if you have any suggestions or thoughts on the Press Release, and this is only a draft, the final is due on Tuesday, so I have time to rearrange and make alterations.

Regarding other news in my life, I just became an uncle for the second time, and of course as the first time when i’m traveling but then in malaysia. On November 18th my youngest brother Jens had his birthday and sourly my other brother Jonny and Karoline (his fiancee)  had to gave birth to two healthy boys, Max and Milo the same day. So from here on November 18th will be an expensive day for me =)

Okay, other news will appear on this site continuous and hopefully once a day at least ..
